Referees International Course organized by FIFA to be concluded in Riyadh

The international course for referees organized by the International Federation of Association Football, FIFA, was concluded, in Riyadh, with the participation of 39 referees and assistant referees, as it lasted for five days.

The course was held, under the supervision of the Referees Committee chairman, Fernando Tresaco, in the presence of lecturer and commissioner of FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation, AFC, Ali Al-Trefy and Argentinean Alejo Martin, the supervisor of FIFA 2018 World Cup referees and physical fitness trainer.

The course witnessed viewing the protocol of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), in addition to showing the results of football law tests and another three tests.

At the end of the course, Ibrahim Al Kassim, the Secretary-General of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, SAFF, attended, as he hailed the levels of the Saudi referees in the previous rounds.

Al Kassim confirmed that requesting the Saudi referees to take charge of matches in Mohammed VI Champions Cup and another international tournaments organized by the AFC, is a clear demonstration of their efficiency, demanding them to continue work and to seize and retain opportunities.
