Al-Thubaiti opens SAFF's Stadium in Zaatari camp

The Vice-President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Khaled Al-Thubaiti, with the participation of the Federation’s Board Member and Chairman of the Social Responsibility Committee Nazih Al-Nasr, the former national team captain Yasser Al-Qahtani, and the Director of the King Salman Center branch in Jordan Saud Al-Hazeem opened a stadium and a playground in Zaatari camp in Jordan, presented by SAFF for camp's children.

The opening of the stadium and the playground comes within the partnership between the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, and is part of the sixth volunteer campaign of the King Salman Center in Zaatari camp in Jordan for Syrian refugees.

Following its opening ceremony, the stadium witnessed a friendly match between a team led by former national team player Yasser Al-Qahtani against a team of Syrian refugees from the camp, which took place in a festive atmosphere.

For his part, the Vice-President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Khaled Al-Thubaiti, thanked His Highness, Minister of Sports Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, for the great support and continuous follow-up to all the activities of the SAFF, including this initiative in Zaatari camp, which came to provide everything necessary in terms of social responsibility, and overcome all obstacles in order to reach the full support of the Syrian brothers in the camp.

Al-Thubaiti thanked the director of the King Salman Center branch in Jordan, Saud Al-Hazeem, for the great role played by the center and its doubling of relief and humanitarian efforts during the past period, especially at the level of improving the living conditions of Syrian refugees, stressing that humanitarian work around the world is a continuous priority for Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques - may God protect him - and his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman - may God protect him - everywhere.

Al-Thubaiti stressed that the participation of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation in this context is an embodiment of the depth of the integrative work of all sectors that contribute to highlighting the image of Saudi humanitarian work.

Al-Thubaiti also thanked the director of the sixth campaign, Youssef Al-Mutlaq, for the effort exerted by his team, wishing them success in their mission.
