The performance auditions for the female junior players in the regional training centers in Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah started

On Saturday, October 1, 2022, the performance auditions phase for female junior players started in the regional training centers in Riyadh and Dammam, while it started in Jeddah on the 2nd of the same month, as this phase lasts for two weeks.

The regional training center is a safe place to practice football, in an educational environment, prepared for discovering talents, with the aim of preparing female players for clubs and national teams.

It is worth mentioning that the regional training center has registered more than 450 players between the ages of 6-17 years. as the passing group will complete their training throughout the 8-month season, until May 31, 2023, led by Saudi female coaches and in cooperation with a European technical staff.

The member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and the general supervisor of the women’s football administration, Lamia bint Ibrahim bin Bahian, explained that the aim of the regional training centers is to expand the process of searching for women’s football talents at a young age to develop and benefit from them in the future in clubs and national teams, and to create a generation that win titles and represent the Kingdom in a good way in major regional, continental and global events.

Alia bint Abdulaziz Al-Rasheed, Director of the Women’s Football Department, added: “We were delighted with the great demand for registration, and what I saw on the first day of the auditions, not only from emerging talents, but also from their families that supports and motivates them to build a bright future for women’s football in Saudi Arabia.
