Approving the number of foreign players and the aspiring players for the next season 20-21

The Board of Directors of the Saudi Football Federation adopted a number of decisions concerning the number of professional and aspiring players in football competitions for the upcoming sports season (2020-2021), based on what was submitted by the evaluation committee to study the eligibility and conditions of players. The decisions were made as follows:
1- Determine the eligibility for the players participating in all competitions and include them in the list:
a. The responsibility for determining, the eligibility of players to participate in the Premier League and League of First Division clubs, is on the Saudi Professional League.
b. The responsibility for determining, the eligibility of players to participate in the second division clubs league, is on the competitions committee in the Saudi Federation.
2. The number of aspiring players:

a. Reducing the number of aspiring players in the age groups from 3 players to 2 in each grade of the age groups.
b. - In case the player is 18 years old, the club has the right to register him as a professional player or keep him as an amateur player, provided that his classification is in the youth level.
c. In case that the club desires to classify the player in the first team, he will be registrated as a professional player.
d. Third-degree clubs are not allowed to register aspiring players in the first team.

3. Determining the number of foreigners and aspiring who are professional in excellent, first and second class clubs:
a. Excellent class: the number of foreign players (7 players), the number of aspiring players (1 player), and the age of the aspiring players are not more than 28 years (born 1993).
b. First-class: the number of foreign players (4 players), the number of aspiring players (1 player), and the age of the players are not more than 26 years (born in 1995).
c. Second degree: the number of foreign players (2 players), the number of aspiring players (1 player), and the age of the players are not more than 24 years (born in 1997).
d. there is an exception for the ages mentioned, for the aspiring players who are registered in his club and remains in the same club before the decision is issued.

4. Adding Saudi professional players in the second division clubs according to the following rules:
a. The maximum limit for Saudi professional players is 6 players, and the minimum limit for all professional players is 2 players.
b. The wages of Saudi professional players do not exceed 8000 SR and not less than 4000 SR.
c. In case of the club is not attended by foreign players and aspiring players, it is permitted to replace them with professional Saudi players.
