SAFF agrees with Al-Wasail Company to host the national team matches at Mrsool Park

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation has agreed with Al-Wasail Company to host the national team matches at “Mrsool Park” stadium, that will be held in Riyadh as part of the final qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

This agreement comes in response to the proposal of the technical staff of the first national team that the stadium host the matches to be held in Riyadh.

The draw placed the national team in Group B, along with Vietnam, Oman, Japan, China and Australia, as the national team will start its matches when it hosts Vietnam on the second of next September in Riyadh.

The first national team has previously played 7 matches at the same stadium, as it hosted Brazil, Iraq, Kuwait, Palestine, Yemen, Singapore and Uzbekistan.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Ibrahim Al Kassim, said that this partnership represents part of the goals of the SAFF, which always seeks to cooperate with national companies to achieve the aspirations of the Saudi fans.

Al Kassim stressed that SAFF spares no effort to provide everything necessary for the national teams of all categories, especially the first team, which will begin the final phase of qualifiers for the World Cup, praising the great support that SAFF receives from His Highness the Minister of Sports Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, and the effort made by his ministry to advance everything related to sports and football in Saudi Arabia.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of A;l-Wasail Company, Muhammad Al-Khuraiji, expressed his pride in concluding this partnership with SAFF, as this achieves one of the objectives of “Morsoul Park” which is to provide a modern concept for sports facilities to meet the requirements of football and its fans, and to support the efforts of the Ministry of Sports that aim to improve the sports facilities and its development in accordance with international standards.

Al-Khuraiji expressed his happiness with the confidence of the SAFF and the coach of the national team, Mr. Hervé Renard, stressing that this confidence will motivate the company to provide all its capabilities to support the Saudi team, support it in all its events, and provide all requirements to the Saudi fans while they are on the field in support of their team.
