Al Misehal meets the presidents of the "Yelo" first-division league clubs

Today, Monday, the President of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Yasser Al Misehal, held a meeting with a number of leaders and representatives of the “Yelo” first-division League clubs, in the presence of His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports for Sports and Youth Affairs Abdulaziz Al-Massad, the Secretary-General of the SAFF Ibrahim Al Kassim, and the President of the Technical Committee Turki Al-Sultan, and the head of the competitions committee, Naim Al-Bakr, and the head of the referees committee, Manuel Navarro, and the CEO of the league, Talal Al-Obaidi.
During the meeting, the application of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology was approved, starting with the matches of the second round of the "Yelo" league for the current season 2021-2022, which will start on January 17.
They also discussed setting a date for the Constituent Assembly to launch the Yelo League for first-division clubs on January 21.
The meeting discussed a number of topics related to the "Yelo" league and discussed ways to develop the competition in a way that contributes to raising the level of players and clubs, and raising the organizational level of the league.
It is noteworthy that the meeting came within the plans of the SAFF in order to listen to the proposals of clubs to develop the football sector in all its categories, which serves the future of Saudi football.
