Nasser Larguet is the new technical director of the SAFF

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) has announced the appointment of Nasser Larguet (France / Morocco) as the new technical director of the federation. Larguet, 63, has vast experience in supervising national teams and forming strategic plans to develop them.
Larguet will replace former technical director, Ioan Lupesco (Romania). The federation expressed its gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Lupesco and wished him all the success in his future endeavours.
Larguet has a rich resume in world football. He was the technical director of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation between 2014 and 2019. He also held several positions in football academies in France from 1989 to 2007, such as Cannes, Rouen, Caen, Strasbourg and Le Havre. Larguet became the director of the Olympique de Marseille Academy from 2019 till 2022, and is also a member of the technical and development committee at the African Confederation of Football since July 2014.
In his new role, Larguet will be responsible for managing the youth national teams, developing and training national coaches, supervising regional training centers to discover young talents, and activating international partnerships to develop football in Saudi Arabia.
