The NT U-23 begins its training in Tashkent in preparation for the U-23 AFC Asian Cup

The under-23 national team inaugurated its training today, Tuesday, in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, as part of its preparations for the U-23 AFC Asian Cup 2022 in Uzbekistan.

This evening, The under-23 national team conducted its training session at Kibari Stadium, under the supervision of coach Saad Al-Shehri and the assistant technical staff, during which the players applied fitness and tactical exercises.

The national team will continue its training at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, in preparation for Tajikistan match in its first match in the AFC Asian Cup next Friday.

On the other hand, the two players, Ahmed Al-Ghamdi and Saad Al-Obaid, joined the delegation of the under-23 national team, after they were called by the technical staff of the team, replacing the players Musab Al-Juwair and Muhannad Al-Shanqiti, who were excluded based on the initial reports of their health conditions sent from their clubs.

On the other hand, the Asian Football Confederation, represented by the Organizing Committee of the tournament, held a welcoming meeting for the national team delegation at their residence in the Uzbek capital Tashkent, during which they explained the instructions related to the tournament, updates in the football law, and issues of integrity in matches.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the captain of the national team, Saud Abdul Hamid, received the shield of participation in the Asian Cup.

This was followed by a small meeting with the administrative staff of the national team, during which a number of logistical, organizational, marketing and media issues were discussed.

It is noteworthy that the national team will open its participation in the AFC Asian Cup against Tajikistan on Friday, June 3, and on Monday, June 6, it will play its match against Japan, and on Thursday, June 9, the national team will face UAE.
