The U-23 national team resumed its training today, Thursday, in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, after its victory over Australia 2-0, in the semi-finals of the U-23 AFC Asian Cup 2022 in Uzbekistan.
The technical staff, led by coach Saad Al-Shehri, divided the players into two groups, as the first group, which included the players who participated mainly in yesterday's match, performed a retrospective exercise in the gymnasium at the mission's residence, while the other group conducted a tactical exercise at Kibari Stadium in Tashkent.
On the other hand, tests showed that midfielder Haitham Asiri had torn the outer side of his right ankle, as a result of the sprain that occurred during the match between the national team and the Australian national team in the AFC Asian Cup semi-final.
The national team will continue its training at Kibari Stadium at 6 pm tomorrow, Friday, in preparation for facing Uzbekistan in the Asian Cup final next Sunday.
