The national futsal team defeats San Marino and wins the silver medal of Croatia International Championship

The national futsal team achieved the second place and silver medal in the international championship that concluded today (Sunday), in Croatia from 14 to 18 September, after defeating San Marino 5-1, at the end of the championship.

The national futsal team managed to impose its control and style from the beginning of the match until it managed to score five goals by Abdulelah Al-Otaibi (two goals), Nasser Al-Harthy, Abdullah Maghribi and Farhan Al-Asmari.

Thus, the national futsal team concludes the final stage of its preparations for the AFC Futsal Asian Cup, to be held in Kuwait from 27 September to 8 October.

The delegation of the national futsal team will return, tomorrow (Monday), to the homeland before heading to Kuwait next (Friday).

It is noteworthy that the draw for the AFC Futsal Asian Cup, which was held last May, placed the national team in Group D, along with Japan, South Korea and Vietnam.
