The national team delegation arrives in Abu Dhabi to start the third phase of the preparatory program for the World Cup

The delegation of the national team arrived this evening, Monday, in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, in preparation for the start of the third phase of the preparatory program for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which begins next November.

The national team will hold a preparatory camp in Abu Dhabi from the 17th of this month to the 10th of next November, and will play during the third phase five friendly matches, the first against Macedonia on the twenty-second of October in Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi, and the second friendly match will be against Albania on the twenty-sixth of October, then the national team will face Honduras in its third friendly match on the thirtieth of October, both the second and third matches will be played at Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The national team will play its fourth friendly match against Iceland on the sixth of next November at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, and will conclude its friendlies for the third stage against Panama national team, on the tenth of next November at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi.

On the other hand, it was decided that the national team will play its matches against Macedonia, Albania and Honduras, closed to the public and the media.

Upon its arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport, the mission was received by the Deputy Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Arab Emirates Salah Al-Hatlani, Head of the Consular Affairs Department Mohammed Al-Nomsi, the representative of the Protocol and Relations Department Khaled Al-Harbi, the Executive Director of the Events Sector of Abu Dhabi Sports Council Suhail Al-Arifi, and the Director of Operations for Saudi Airlines at Gulf Bandar Al-Fawzan.

The director of the national team, Hussein Al-Sadiq, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Arab Emirates for the kind reception and facilities that the mission received since its arrival, and also extended his thanks and appreciation to Abu Dhabi Sports Council for the warm reception and hospitality.

The delegation of the national team left Riyadh this afternoon from King Khaled International Airport, and in the mission's farewell was the President of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Yasser Al Misehal.
