Saudi Olympics team returns to training.. Al-Khalief takes part
The Saudi Arabia u-23 national team, returned to training, on Sunday, within preparations for the 2020 AFC U-23 Championship, Thailand, which will be held from the 8th until the 26the of January, and will determine the qualified teams to Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
On the ground, the Saudi team trained, at evening, under the supervision of manager, Saad Al-Shehri, as the session was kicked off with tactical defensive exercises, followed by zone defense exercises then the session was concluded with transition to attack exercises.
On the other hand, midfielder Ayman Al-Khlief joined the group training, after concluding his rehabilitation program, which he underwent in the last days under the supervision of the medical staff, as he suffered a cramp in the interior calf of the right leg.
The Saudi team will continue training on Monday, within preparations for Japan game which will take place on Thursday, in the opening game of the AFC U-23 Championship.
It must be noted, that the fourth phase of preparations for the 2020 AFC U-23 Championship, which was concluded on Friday, as it took place from the 15th until the 19th of December, then the team moved to Malaysia on the first of January, to complete preparations for the Asian Cup.
