Next Monday, January 2, the women's national team camp will start, as it will be held in the Eastern Region, in preparation for the international friendly tournament, in which the women's national team will participate alongside the teams of Pakistan, Comoros, and Mauritius.
The coach of the national team, German Monica Stapp, summoned 25 players, and they are: “Nawal Khaled, Sarah Khaled, Laila Ali, Mona Abdel-Rahman, Lin Muhammad, Bayan Sadaqa, Tala Al-Ghamdi, Dalal Abdel-Latif, Hala Khashoggi, Lana Abdel-Razzaq, Aseel Saleh, Shorouk Al-Hawsawi, Raghad Helmy, Raghad Mukhaizen, Sarah Hamad, Maryam Al-Tamimi, Layan Johari, Saba Tawfiq, Majd Al-Otaibi, Juri Tariq, Al-Bandari Mubarak, Mubarakah Muhammad, Fatima Mansour, Noura Ibrahim, Fadwa Khaled.
The national team will open its campaign in the tournament, in which all matches will be held at Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium in Al-Khobar, on Wednesday, January 11, against Mauritius, while it will face Comoros in its second match on Sunday, January 15, and will conclude its campaign against the Pakistani national team on Thursday, January 19.
The member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, general supervisor of women's football, Lamia bin Bahian, praised the development of the women's national team, stressing the importance of preparation in the coming period in an effort to enter the women's national team in the international classification issued by the International Federation of Football Associations "FIFA", as she indicated the great development at the level of players, which the Women's Premier League contributed to.
Alia Al-Rasheed, Director of the Women's Football Department, said that the national team will seek to achieve the maximum possible benefit from the tournament, stressing the SAFF's keenness to harness all capabilities in order to move forward towards achieving achievements for women's football.
