The Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation has approved the participation of all Roshn Professional League clubs in the Reserve League, starting from the next season 2023-2024.
The decision of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation came based on the technical study submitted by the technical director of the SAFF, Nasser Larguet, for the reserve league in its first edition 2022-2023, which witnesses the participation of 7 clubs from the Roshn Professional League, provided that coordination takes place with the Saudi Professional League and clubs on the mechanism that will be implemented.
SAFF pointed out that the decision comes related to allowing the clubs participating in the Roshen Professional League next season to register 8 non-local players in the team, which will allow the rest of the non-main team members to participate in the reserve league and increase their participation minutes during the season.
