The NT concludes its preparations to face Yemen in the opening of the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup

In the presence and follow-up of the president of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Yasser Al Misehal, the national team concluded today, Thursday, its preparations for its match against the Yemen national team, tomorrow evening, Friday, within the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup.

Tomorrow, Friday, the national team will face Yemen national team at 9:45 pm at Basra International Stadium.

On the field, the national team conducted its training session this evening on the reserve stadium of Basra International Stadium, under the supervision of coach Saad Al-Shehri and the assistant technical staff, during which they applied recreational exercises, followed by a tactical exercise on building offensive sentences from the middle of the field, to conclude the training session with exercises on set pieces on defensive and offensive sides.

On the other hand, coach Saad Al-Shehri explained during the press conference that was held on the sidelines of the first round matches of the 25th Gulf Cup that the national team aspires to continue the great technical development witnessed by Saudi football by achieving more achievements and positive results.

Al-Shehri added: "We are very happy to be among our brothers in Iraq, and I thank the Iraqi brothers for their hospitality and the unsurprising reception from them, and we wish them success in hosting and organizing".

Regarding tomorrow's match against Yemen national team, Saad Al-Shehri stressed its importance and their preparation for it well and for the tournament in general, referring to the development of the technical level of the Yemeni national team and football in general, and referring to the high mental and physical preparation of the players for the match and the rest of the tournament matches.

Saad Al-Shehri added: “We will work hard to impose our personality and achieve our technical goals, including achieving the championship, as well as the ultimate goal, which is to move forward in this technical development that Saudi football is witnessing and achieve achievements, and I trust in the 23 players in the national team and I am convinced of them technically because they are between experience and youth elements, and God willing, positive results will be achieved.”

While the national team player, Riyad Sharahili, explained during the conference that tomorrow's match will not be easy, pointing to his teammates' high focus on appearing at a high technical level to achieve a positive result, expressing his happiness at being in Iraq, wishing them success in organizing the Gulf Cup.

On the other hand, the Organizing Committee of the Arabian Gulf Cup held this evening a coordination meeting for the group stage matches, during which the national team was represented by the Managing Director of the national teams, Muhammad Al-Hamid, the General Coordinator Hamad Al-Shiha, and the Communications Officer Faisal Al-Morshedi, during which a number of logistical, security, marketing, media and medical arrangements were discussed.
