The under-23 national team defeated Costa Rica on penalty kicks 3-2, after a goalless drew in the original two halves, 0-0, this evening, Sunday, at Latre de Tenege stadium, in the third round of Maurice Revello International Turnament (Toulon Turnament).
Coach Saad Al-Shehri entered the match with a list consists of: Muhammad Al-Absi as a goalkeeper, Muhammad Abu Al-Shamat, Saad Al-Mousa, Mishaal Al-Subiani, Zakaria Hawsawi, Faisal Al-Ghamdi, Musab Al-Juwair, Saad Al-Nasser, Ziyad Al-Juhani, Ahmed Al-Ghamdi, Abdullah Redif.
It is worth noting that Toulon Tournament is part of the preparation program for the Asian qualifiers, which will start in September, and qualifies for the AFC Asian Cup 2024 in Qatar, which qualifies for the Olympic Games (Paris 2024).
