The first national futsal team continued its daily training in the Eastern Province in preparation for Afghanistan national team match, next Saturday, in the opening of their matches in the Asian qualifiers that will be held at the Ministry of Sports hall in Dammam from October 7th to 11th, which qualify for AFC Asian Futsal Cup, to be held in Thailand in 2024.
Today, Monday, the national futsal team players conducted their training at Prince Nayef Sports City Hall in Qatif under the leadership of Spanish coach Andrew Plaza, who divided the training into two periods in which the players underwent intense fitness and physical exercises in addition to executing and applying a number of technical sentences using the ball that focused on direct shooting towards the goal.
At the conclusion of the training session, a maneuver was conducted across the entire hall, which witnessed the non-participation of the duo Asaad Al-Saad and Saleh Al-Qarni, as the technical staff preferred not to include them based on the recommendation of the medical staff.
It is noteworthy that the draw for the Asian qualifiers for AFC Asian Futsal Cup placed the national team in Group B alongside Indonesia, Afghanistan and Macau.
