The national futsal team begins its preparations for Afghanistan match in AFC Asian Cup qualifiers

The first national futsal team continued its daily training in the Eastern Province in preparation for Afghanistan national team match, next Saturday, in the opening of their matches in the Asian qualifiers that will be held at the Ministry of Sports hall in Dammam from October 7th to 11th, which qualify for AFC Asian Cup to be held in Thailand in 2024.

Today, Monday, the national futsal team players conducted their training under the leadership of the Spanish coach, Andrew Plaza, who divided the training into two parts.

The first part was performed at the fitness hall at the mission’s residence, while the second part of the training was performed at Prince Nayef City Sports Hall in Qatif, during which the players underwent intense fitness and physical exercises, in addition to executing and applying a number of technical sentences using the ball.

At the end of the training session, a maneuver was conducted across the entire hall area, with the participation of player Saleh Al-Qarni, who was given the green light by the medical staff to engage in group training.

Goalkeeper Asaad Al-Saad is still continuing his treatment program accompanied by the medical team.

On the other hand; coach of the first national futsal team, Andrew Plaza, summoned the player Fares Al-Qahtani, and today he joined the team’s camp, accompanied by his teammates, and participated in group training.
