Al Misehal participates in the 25th meeting of (FIFA) Council

The President of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and member of the International Federation of Football Associations' Council, Yasser Al Misehal, participated today, Wednesday, in the 25th meeting of (FIFA) Council, which was held via video conference.
During the meeting, the topics on the agenda were discussed, most notably the adoption of the joint file between Morocco, Portugal and Spain, the only bid file to host the World Cup 2030.
The meeting also approved holding a celebration of the centenary of the World Cup in the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo, and holding matches in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay, with one match in each country in the World Cup 2030.
During the meeting, the FIFA Council also approved restricting the application to host the World Cup 2034 to the national member associations of the Asian Football Confederation and the Oceania Football Confederation.
It is noteworthy that the next meeting of the Council will be held in Jeddah on the sidelines of the Kingdom’s hosting of the Club World Cup 2023.
