The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) has accredited 33 private academies and two clubs, among the government and commercial academies and clubs that are entitled to participate in the official competitions of the SAFF, bringing the number of accredited clubs and academies to 103 so far.
The technical management of the SAFF aims to develop official competitions as one of the pillars of the Saudi football transformation strategy launched by the SAFF in September 2021 towards a new structure of competitions, and discovering football talents to support national teams. In this regard, the technical management will organize the conditions of players, matches, and technical methodology, and increase the number of players, matches and the number of players registered in the federation’s lists, in coordination with the relevant departments and committees.
Private clubs and academies were granted the right to participate in competitions this season, as the number of requests to participate reached 60 private clubs and academies who obtained membership in The Saudi Arabian Football Federation out of 103, with the number expected to increase next season.
