
NT Futsal defeats Tajikistan in preparation for the Asian Cup

The Saudi Arabia national futsal team defeated its counterpart, the Tajikistan national team, with a score of 4-2, in the second friendly match that brought them together today, Wednesday, at the Ministry of Sports hall in Jeddah, as part of the “Green” preparations to participate in, the 2024 AFC Futsal Asian Cup, scheduled to be held in The Kingdom of Thailand during the period from 17 to 28 April 2024.
The first half ended with Tajikistan leading 2-1, and in the second half, the “Green Futsal” players were able to turn their deficit into a 4-2 victory, scored by Abdullah Al-Maghrabi (two goals), Ihab Ahmed and Moaz Al-Asiri.
During the second friendly match, Green Futsal coach Andrew Plaza deliberately implemented a number of plans that had been practiced in the last period, in addition to playing with a different lineup from the first friendly match, which Green Futsal also won 2-1.
It is noteworthy that the draw for the 2024 AFC Futsal Asian Cup, placed the “Green Futsal” in Group B, alongside the teams of Uzbekistan, Iraq and Australia.
