The Saudi Arabia under-21 national team defeated the Egyptian national team on penalties after they tied in the original time, with a score of 2-2in the third-place playoff on Tuesday evening, in the 2023 WAFF U-23 Championship, in Al-Ahsa.
The Egyptian national team opened the scoring in the 6th minute of the first half, while the player Marwan Al-Sahafi was able to score the equalizing goal in the 38th minute, and the player Mishari Al-Nimr increased the score for the Green in the 87th minute, while the Egyptian national team was able to score the equalizing goal in the third minute of the injury time.
