NT U-23 beats Indonesia in friendly as part of preparation for the Asian Cup

In the presence and follow-up of the President of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), Yasser bin Hassan Al-Meshal, the Saudi under-23 team defeated the Indonesian team, 3-1, in the test match that brought them together on Friday evening, within the preparatory camp in the Emirates, which is held within the final stage of preparation for the 2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup in Qatar, which qualifies to the Olympic Games (Paris 2024).
The Green team scored first through player Jihad Zikri in the 16th minute, while the Indonesian national team scored the equalizer in the 28th minute of the first half, and in the second half, player Haitham Asiri scored the second goal for the Green in the 68th minute, while player Abdullah Radif added the third goal in the 90th minute of the match.
Technical director Saad Al-Shehri entered the match with a list consisting of: Ahmed Al-Jubaie in goalkeeper, Muhammad Al-Dosari, Jihad Zakry, Muhammad Suleiman, Saad Al-Nasser, Awad Al-Nashiri, Abdul-Ilah Hawsawi, Marwan Al-Sahafi, ZiadAl-Juhani, Saleh Abu Al-Shamat and Muhammad Maran.
The Saudi under-23 team will resume training on Saturday evening in preparation for its second test match within its camp in the Emirates against the South Korean national team next Tuesday evening.
It is worth noting that the Saudi under-23 team is placed in Group C, of the 2024 AFC U-23 Cup in Qatar, scheduled to start in mid-April, along with the teams of Iraq, Thailand, and Tajikistan.
