The SAFF obtains the Gold level membership in the Asian Football Confederation Charter for Youth

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) obtained the Gold level membership under the AFC Grassroots Charter in the Asian Football Confederation Charter for Youth, confirming the Saudi Federation’s commitment to developing the age groups and applying the highest approved Asian standards.
The SAFF obtained the Gold level membership directly without progressing to lower-level memberships, as part of the efforts of the technical management represented by the Buds Department, Academies and Regional Training Centers in the Saudi Federation to contribute to implementing all the initiatives contained in the talent development path in the Saudi Football Strategy that was launched in September 2021.
The Federation obtained the Gold level membership after the evaluation round conducted by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on the technical management in early November, and as confirmation of the great interest and keenness of the Saudi Federation on the age groups, as more than 25 programs were held to discover talents, in addition to opening 23 regional training centers in various regions of the Kingdom, and increasing the number of age competitions for ages from 15 to 18 years from 8 championships to 12 championships, while the regional Buds Championships from 11 to 14 years increased from 35 championships to 86 championships, in addition to paying attention to the age groups and raising their competitiveness and enhancing the amateur and school league, and development programs for age groups in women's football, and introducing modern technologies in age group programs, including the platform +SAFF to broadcast matches, provide digital analysis and statistics, and facilitate the participation of academies and private clubs in local competitions.
For his part, the President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Yasser bin Hassan Al-Misehal, on his behalf and on behalf of the members of the Council, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the technical management of the Saudi Federation for the distinguished work to develop age groups and develop appropriate and professional programs to discover talents and hone their experiences, which contributed to obtaining the Gold level membership directly without progressing to lower categories, stressing the Federation's continuous support for the development of age groups in a way that serves Saudi football.
Al-Misehal added that this membership represents the culmination of the efforts of the past period during which the competitions for age groups were restructured and the technical management was supported with appropriate competencies.
