AFC approves the Kingdom's hosting of the 2025 Awards Ceremony and Federations Conference

Yasser bin Hassan Al-Misehal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) and member of the FIFA Council, participated today, Tuesday, in the fifth meeting of the AFC Executive Office, which was held via video conference technology, headed by His Excellency the President of the AFC, Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, and attended by members of the Executive Office and officials of the AFC.
During the meeting, it was approved that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will host the AFC Annual Awards Ceremony and the Conference of Presidents of Member National Federations, Regional Federations and General Secretaries for the next year 2025.
For his part, His Excellency the President of the AFC, Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, affirmed his full confidence in the Saudi file to host the 2034 World Cup, which received the highest rating in the history of World Cup hosting files, expressing his full confidence in the Kingdom's ability to organize a historic version of the World Cup that enhances the position of the Asian continent on the international football scene.
He said: "We are fully confident in the Kingdom's ability to organize a historic version of the World Cup, in light of the full support for the Saudi file from the Asian federations, as it will enhance the position of the Asian continent on the international football scene with the third hosting of the World Cup in the Asian continent."
