The Saudi Arabia beach soccer national team will face Thailand tomorrow, Wednesday, in the quarterfinals of the 2025 AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup, currently being held in Pattaya, Thailand.
The tournament serves as a qualifier for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, scheduled to be held in the Seychelles next May.
On the field, the Saudi Beach Soccer Team completed its preparations for the match with a training session on the secondary clay pitch at Jomtien Marina Beach, led by Brazilian coach Koga Zolokovic.
The training session began with a meeting between coach Zolokovic and the players, where he discussed the mistakes they made during the previous match against Iraq and explained the appropriate methods for correcting them and improving performance in the upcoming match.
The coach then focused on implementing the technical plan the team will use in the match, before concluding the training session with a full-pitch drill.
The session was attended by Dr. Khalid bin Muqrin, head of the delegation and member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), and Nasser Al-Saadi, Director of the Futsal and Beach Soccer Department.
The Green Beach Soccer Team qualified for the quarterfinals after securing the second qualifying spot from Group B, which included Japan, China, and Iraq.
The Saudi team collected six points from two wins over China and Iraq, while Thailand qualified as Group A winners.
The Green Beach Soccer Team is seeking to win the match and advance to the semifinals, continuing its journey towards qualifying for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
