The Saudi Arabian Football Federation is launching the first edition of the SAFF Girls U-15 Tournament, which will take place from April 8 to May 17, with the participation of 13 teams from across the Kingdom.
This tournament represents a new step towards developing age-group football and strengthening the base of young women in the Kingdom.
The group stage matches are scheduled to be held in a regional round robin format, with a two-legged league system (home and away), with a champion crowned for each region without a final stage.
For her part, Alia Al-Rasheed, Director of the Women's Football Department at the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, emphasized that the tournament represents an opportunity to discover and develop promising talents to represent the national teams. She noted that it will also contribute to raising the technical level of the players and honing their skills in a supportive environment.
