The Saudi Arabia Women's under-20 national Team is awaiting the draw for the AFC U20 Women's Asian Cup qualifiers, which will take place tomorrow, Monday, April 28, 2025, at the AFC headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The draw will be broadcast live on the AFC YouTube channel at 10:00 AM Saudi time.
Thirty-three Asian teams will participate in the qualifiers, divided into eight groups of four teams and one group of five teams.
The host country and the group winners, along with the three best second-placed teams from all groups, will qualify for the 2026 AFC U-20 Women's Asian Cup, which will be held in Thailand.
The qualifiers are scheduled to begin in August. In addition to the Saudi Women's National Youth Team, five Arab teams will participate in the qualifiers: Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria, reflecting the growing interest in women's football in the region. This is the first time the Saudi women's under-20 national team has participated in an official continental qualifier. It represents a major step toward strengthening the status of women's football in the Kingdom and raising the level of competitiveness at the Asian level.
