AFC Competitions Committee Approves Saudi Arabia to Host AFC U17 Asian Cup Until 2028

The AFC Competitions Committee has approved Saudi Arabia's hosting of the AFC U17 Asian Cup for the next three editions: 2026, 2027, and 2028.
This came during a meeting of the AFC Competitions Committee held today, Saturday, in Jeddah, in the presence of Ibrahim Al-Qassim, Secretary General of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) and member of the AFC Competitions Committee. The meeting was held on the sidelines of Jeddah's hosting of the final rounds of the AFC Champions League Elite, which concludes this evening with the final match between the national team's representative, Al-Ahli, and its counterpart, Kawasaki Frontale, of Japan, at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.
For his part, Yasser bin Hassan Al-Misehal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the SAFF, expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation to the wise leadership for their generous support of the sports sector. This support has made the Kingdom a leading destination for hosting major sporting events in recent times. He praised the efforts of His Highness the Minister of Sports in harnessing all resources to ensure the success of sporting events hosted by the Kingdom.
Al-Misehal thanked the Asian Football Confederation for its confidence in granting the Kingdom the right to host the next three editions of the AFC U17 Asian Cup, expressing his aspiration for further cooperation between the Saudi and Asian federations to contribute to the development of Asian football.
