Sheikh Salman Al Khalifa crowns Al-Ahli Saudi Club with the 2024-25 AFC Champions League Elite

His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), in the presence of His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Sports, Mr. Badr bin Abdulrahman Al-Qadi, and the President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), Yasser bin Hassan Al-Misehal, crowned the national team's representative, Al-Ahli Club, with the AFC Champions League Elite Trophy for the 2024-25 sports season on Saturday.
Al-Ahli Club won the AFC Champions League Elite Trophy after defeating its Japanese counterpart, Kawasaki Frontale, 2-0 in the final match held at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.
For his part, the President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation extended his sincere congratulations to the wise leadership on this great achievement for Saudi football, which would not have been possible without the generous support of the wise leadership for the sports sector.
Al-Misehal also thanked His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports and Chairman of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, for his support in the successful hosting of the final rounds of the AFC Champions League Elite, which builds on the success of major football tournaments.
The President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, representing the nation, congratulated Al-Ahli Club, its Board of Directors, fans, and staff, on winning the AFC Champions League Elite title. This achievement adds to the rich record of titles and achievements for Saudi football at the continental level, reflecting the support of the wise leadership - may God protect them - and embodying the outcomes of the vision of His Highness the Crown Prince, under the direct supervision of His Highness the Minister of Sports and the concerted efforts of all relevant parties.
Al-Misehal praised the outstanding performance of the Al-Ahli players during the final match, thanking the Al-Ahli fans for the wonderful image they presented in the stands with their exemplary support, reflecting the beauty of the Saudi stadium, which contributed to the Kingdom's successful hosting of the final rounds of the Asian Championship.
