The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) celebrated the second edition of the International Youth Day Initiative, held under the supervision of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
The AFC's supervision of this initiative is part of plans to implement numerous sporting and social initiatives to create a safer and more appropriate football environment, as well as to advocate for the protection of children, who are the "heroes" of this cause, and other initiatives that create and embody a sense of responsibility among people.
The International Youth Day Initiative coincides with FIFA World Football Week, which takes place from May 21 to 25 of each year, commemorating the anniversary of the founding of FIFA and the Paris Olympic Games.
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation's regional training centers, as well as numerous sports clubs and academies, hosted numerous sporting events and initiatives to celebrate this day, amid a positive atmosphere and strong participation from athletes of both genders and age groups affiliated with these centers.
It's worth noting that the first edition of the World Youth Day initiative was held in four sports centers in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Dawadmi, while the second edition was held in 23 regional centers across 13 regions and cities in the Kingdom. This is part of the SAFF's efforts to spread these sporting and social initiatives across all regions, targeting all age groups.
