Katerina Falida to Lead the Saudi Women's U-17 NT

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) announced the appointment of Greek Katerina

including Greece Singapore the United States and (Saudi Arabia.)
Falida as coach of the Saudi Women's U-17 National Team, as part of its strategic plans to develop women's football at the age level.



Falida's experience includes coaching the Greek U-17 and (U-19) women's national teams, as well as taking charge of the Singapore U-17 women's national team, which she led to Asian Cup qualifiers and international tournaments.

On the local level, Falida served as head coach of Al-Qadisiyah Women's Club, successfully leading the club to third place in the SAFF Women's Premier League, runner-up in the SAFF Women's Cup, and the SAFF Women's U-17 Tournament, as she also contributed to the emergence of (16) players who joined the national teams in just (18) months.

The Greek coach holds a UEFA PRO certificate, a Master's degree in Sports Management, and several technical certificates from FIFA and UEFA.

Aliyah bint Abdulaziz Al-Rasheed, Director of the Women's Football Department at the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, emphasized that contracting with Falida represents a qualitative step towards building a strong foundation for the youth teams.

We believe that investing in technical talent is the foundation for building a sustainable future for women's football, and Coach Katerina has extensive local and international experience that qualifies her to lead this ambitious generation., Aliyah bint Abdulaziz Al-Rasheed said.

For her part, Falida expressed her pride in joining the technical staff of the women's national teams, stressing that working with a young and ambitious generation represents an important opportunity to contribute to building the future of women's football in the Kingdom.

This appointment comes within the Saudi Arabian Football Federation's overall direction towards supporting youth football teams and establishing a strong foundation that contributes to the long-term development of the game.
