Renard announces Saudi Arabia squad for Czech camp

National team coach Hervé Renard announced today the squad for the preparatory camp, which will be held in the Czech Republic during the FIFA World Cup qualifiers in September. The camp is part of the preparations for the Asian play-offs of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, scheduled to be held in Jeddah in October.

The Saudi Arabia team will play two friendly matches during its Czech camp. The first will be against Macedonia on September 4 at the Viktoria Žižkov Stadium in Prague, while the second will be against the Czech Republic on September 8 at the Malčovska Stadium in Hradec Králové.

The list announced by Renard (27) players included the following: Nawaf Al-Aqidi, Abdulrahman Al-Sanbi, Mohammed Al-Yami, Osama Al-Marmash, Mutab Al-Harbi, Jihad Dhakri, Mohammed Sulaiman, Saad Al-Musa, Hassan Al-Tambukti, Muhannad Al-Shanqeeti, Ali Majrashi, Nawaf Bushal, Nasser Al-Dosari, Saad Al-Nasser, Mukhtar Ali, Ziad Al-Jahni, Mohammed Kanno, Abdullah Al-Khaibari, Salem Al-Dosari, Abdulrahman Al-Aboud, Ayman Yahya, Abdullah Al-Hamdan, Musab Al-Juwair, Muhannad Al-Saad, Marwan Al-Sahafi, Saleh Al-Shehri, and Firas Al-Brikan.

The national team delegation will depart next Sunday afternoon for the Czech capital, Prague, via King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, marking the start of a new preparatory phase extending from August 31 to September 8, during which the Green Falcons will seek to enhance their technical and physical readiness in preparation for the Asian play-off.

It's worth noting that the national team is in Group B of the Asian play-offs for the 2026 World Cup, alongside Iraq and Indonesia, as the Green Falcons look to secure a spot in the tournament.
