NT U-23 draws with Qatar and tops Group A in the Gulf Cup

The Saudi Arabia U-23 national team drew 1-1 with Qatar in their match this evening, Thursday, as part of the third round of the 2025 AGCFF U-23 Gulf Cup.

The match was attended by the President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Yasser Al-Misehal.

Thamer Al-Khaibri scored the Saudi goal in the 85th minute.

Italian coach Luigi Di Biagio fielded the following starting lineup: Turki Al-Baloush in goal, Awad Dahal, Mohammed Barnawi, Abdulrahman Al-Obaid, Meshal Al-Alaily, Farha Al-Shamrani, Faisal Al-Subiani, Bassam Hazazi, Abdullah Maatouq, Talal Haji, and Thamer Al-Khaibri.

With this positive draw, the national under-23 team topped Group A, with 7 points, thus securing its qualification to the semi-finals of the Gulf Cup.
