The NT Head Coach Announces Squad for the 27th Gulf Cup

The head coach of the senior national team, Giorgos Donis, has announced the squad that will represent the Green Falcons in the 27th Gulf Cup, scheduled to take place in Jeddah from September 23 to October 6.
The 26-man squad came as follows: Mohammed Al-Owais, Nawaf Al-Aqidi, Hamed Youssef, Abdulelah Al-Amri, Jihad Zikri, Rayan Hamed, Hassan Tambakti, Hassan Kadesh, Nawaf Boushal, Mohammed Mahzari, Muteb Al-Harbi, Zakaria Hawsawi, Musab Al-Juwayr, Mohammed Al-Qahtani, Mohamed Kanno, Ziyad Al-Johani, Abdullah Al-Khaibari, Nasser Al-Dawsari, Alaa Al-Hajji, Sultan Mandash, Mohammed Abu Al-Shamat, Hammam Al-Hammami, Saleh Abu Al-Shamat, Abdullah Al-Hamdan, Firas Al-Buraikan, and Abdullah Al-Salem.
The players are scheduled to report to their training camp in Jeddah tomorrow evening, Thursday, to prepare for the tournament. Meanwhile, players from Al-Ahli Club will join the camp on Sunday, September 20, following the conclusion of their club's participation in the 2026 FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
The Saudi team will kick off its preparation program tomorrow evening with a training session at the King Abdullah Sports City training grounds in Jeddah; the session will be closed to the media.
The national team heads Group A of the 27th Gulf Cup, that also includes the national teams of Iraq, Oman, and Kuwait.
The Saudi team kicks off its tournament campaign by facing Kuwait on Wednesday, September 23, followed by a match against Oman on Saturday, September 26, before concluding the group stage against Iraq on Tuesday, September 29.
