The national team resumed training this Sunday evening in preparation for the match against Iraq, scheduled for Tuesday evening—as part of the third and final round of the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup group stage.
The Green Falcons players held their session at the King Abdullah Sports City training grounds in Jeddah under the supervision of Assistant Head Coach Serafim Angelinas.
The coaching staff divided the players into two groups: the first consisted of players who started in yesterday's match against Oman and performed recovery exercises, while the second group underwent a session that began with warm-ups, followed by passing drills and small-sided games, before moving on to various tactical exercises.
In a related note, Mohammed Al-Qahtani rejoined group training after recovering from a recent health issue, meanwhile, Alaa Al-Hajji did not participate in the session due to a knee injury sustained during yesterday's match against Oman; instead, he followed a treatment program with the medical staff.
The Saudi team will continue preparations tomorrow, Monday, with a training session at 7:00 PM at the King Abdullah Sports City training grounds in Jeddah; the session will be open to the media for the first 15 minutes.
