Today, Wednesday, the under-23 national team continued its training within its preparatory camp in Dammam, which represents the first phase of the program of preparation for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, scheduled to be held in July.

The under-23 national team conducted its training session this evening at Prince Muhammad bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam, under the supervision of the technical director Saad Al-Shehri, which witnessed fitness exercises, followed by the division of the team into two groups.

The first group performed the ball possession training, while the other group conducted a mini match, before concluding the training session with a mini match on half of the stadium area for the two groups.

On the other hand, the team's technical staff excluded the player Khaled Al-Ghanem, after medical examinations showed that he had an infection in the upper tendon of the posterior muscle in the right thigh.

It is reported that the U-23 national team qualified for the Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020) after winning one of the qualifying seats in the U-23 AFC Cup in Thailand last January, during which it finished second.
