The NT U-23 will play its second friendly match tomorrow, Tuesday, in the preparatory camp in Riyadh, which comes within the framework of the third phase of the program of preparation for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, scheduled to be held at the end of next July.
"Al Akhdar" will host the Liberian national team (first team) at 5:10 pm, at Prince Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz Stadium.
On the other hand, the President of the Saudi Football Association, Yasser Al-Mashal, praised the level presented by the players of the NT U-23 during the first friendly match against the Liberia national team last Saturday in the third phase of preparation for Tokyo 2020.
Yasser Al-Mashal praised the players' high concentration in working towards the goal of optimal appearances during the Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020), wishing the national team success in the upcoming stages of preparation and within the tournament competitions.
This came during a meeting with the players that preceded the training session on Monday evening, within the "Al-Akhdar" preparatory camp in the city of Riyadh, which will conclude tomorrow with its second test match.
On the field level, the national team concluded its preparations to face the Liberian national team with a training session on the reserve stadium for Prince Faisal bin Fahd's stadium, which focused on applying the players to tactical work with the aim of building under high pressure, followed by training on fixed balls in the defensive and offensive aspects.
It is reported that the NT U-23 announced its qualification for the Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020) after winning one of the qualifying seats in the AFC U-23 Cup in Thailand early last year, during which it finished second.
