Thursday: NT awaits the draw for the Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup

The headquarters of the Asian Football Confederation in the Malaysian capital, "Kuala Lumpur", will witness tomorrow, Thursday, at ten in the morning, the draw for the Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.

The twelve teams will be divided into two groups of six teams, who will face each other back and forth. The top and runner-up teams from each group will qualify for the 2021 World Cup. The two third-placed teams will advance to the fourth round, where they will meet to determine the identity of the qualifying team for the playoffs.

At the level of the lottery mechanism, the qualified teams will be distributed into six levels according to the classification of the International Football Association “FIFA” announced on the eighteenth of June 2021, and the classification put the national team in the third level next to the UAE team, while the first level was “Japan, Iran”, At the second level "Australia, South Korea", at the fourth level "Iraq, China", at the fifth level "Oman, Syria", and finally at the sixth level "Vietnam, Lebanon".

The third round matches are scheduled to take place on the following dates: September 2, 2021, September 7, 2021, October 7, 2021, October 12, 2021, November 11, 2021, November 16, 2021, January 27, 2022, February 1, 2022, March 24, 2022 and March 29, 2022 .

It is worth noting that the national team qualified for the final Asian qualifiers for the 2021 World Cup after leading its fourth group with twenty points.
