Saudi futsal team open AFC Futsal overcame Qatar 5-0, at Khalifa Sport City Arena, Manama, on Wednesday, in the opening round of the 2020 AFC Futsal Championship west zone qualifiers, Bahrain.
Nawaf Al-Erwan and Abdalla El-Eteby scored two braces and Gohar Gamah added another goal.
For his part, Coach Luis Fonseca started the game with the following starting XI: Abdalla El-Shemry, Nasser Al-Harthi, Omar Al-Dobal, Gohar Gamah and Mansour Al-Zahrani.
The Saudi team players presented a great performance resulted in the big win.
The Saudi team will face Lebanon in the second round, on Friday, before concluding participation on Sunday, against Oman.
For his part, Fonseca hailed the big victory, stressing that the Saudi team played well and got a victory will be a motivation for the team in the second game.
Fonseca demanded the players to forget Qatar game and start preparations for Lebanon, as they are one of the favorites to reach the AFC Futsal Championship, for their experience.
