The U-23 West Asian Football Federation Championship national teams coaches hold a press conference to talk about it

The coaches of the teams participating in the U-23 West Asian Football Federation Championship held a press conference today, Sunday, to talk about their participation in the tournament, which will start from 4 to 12 October and will be hosted by Dammam and Al-Khobar.

The coaches of the first group, which includes the teams of Jordan, Kuwait, Yemen and Oman, started the conversation, where the coach of the Jordanian national team, Ahmed Hayel, confirmed his quest for the appearance of his country's team in an appropriate manner, pointing out that the chances are equal among all participating teams.

For his part, Kuwait coach Carlos Gonzalez said that the tournament is a real preparation for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup
qualifiers, expressing his hope to appear positively during the matches.

On the other hand, the coach of the Yemeni national team, Amin Al-Sunaini, expressed his hope for achieving the aspirations of his people and for the Yemeni team to appear in the best way, while
Oman coach Dario Bazic stressed the strength of the group and the equal chances of all its teams, pointing out that there is a great challenge awaiting his players.

In the second group, which includes the teams of Iraq, Lebanon, UAE and Palestine, the coach of the Iraqi team, Mido Scope, described the tournament as strong, saying that everyone came to Saudi Arabia to compete and achieve the title.

The coach of the Lebanese national team, Jamal Taha, confirmed that this tournament is the best opportunity to prepare the team to participate in the AFC Asian Cupqualifiers, adding: "The two-year suspension due to the Corona pandemic affected all participating teams."

UAE national team coach Denis Silva said that the tournament is a real challenge for his team and that they will play all matches as if they are finals in order to achieve the title.

On the other hand, the coach of the Palestinian national team, Ihab Abu Jazar, indicated that his team prepared for the tournament 8 months ago, during which he played one friendly match against Kuwait, which is not enough for a good preparation.

In the last group that includes Saudi Arabia, Syria and Bahrain, national team coach Saad Al-Shehri stressed that all participating teams have the right to compete for the title and achieve it, adding: "We wish everyone success, and we in the Saudi team have set many goals, including short-term and long-term ones, they are all important to us and we are trying to prepare well for the upcoming competitions."

For his part, the Syrian national team coach Raafat Muhammad said that the hot weather may affect the players because they are not used to it, but his goal is to achieve positive results that raise the players' morale before the upcoming benefits.

Bahrain national team coach Ismail Karami concluded the press conference, describing the date of the tournament as very appropriate as it is a good preparation for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.

It is noteworthy that the committee held a coordination meeting with the administrators of the participating teams, during which all organizations were discussed with the organizing committee of the tournament, including precautionary measures, match crews and media organizations.
