SAFF celebrates the successful national coaches in the national teams and clubs

Today, Thursday, the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, represented by the Technical Committee, celebrated the successful national coaches in the national teams and sports clubs for the 2021-2022 sports season.
The Secretary-General of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Ibrahim Al Kassim, honored the successful coaches during the last season, who numbered 73 coaches, who made achievements with the national teams and clubs, in the presence of a number of national coaches who contributed to drawing an honorable history of Saudi football, led by Captain Nasser Al-Johar.
For his part, the Secretary-General of the SAFF valued the generous support of the wise leadership in the sports sector in general and the football sector in particular, which enabled the Saudi Arabian Football Federation to provide the necessary support to upgrade and develop the level of the national coaches, which contributes to achieving the ambitions of Saudi football.
Al Kassim thanked His Highness, the Minister of Sports, President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, for his continuous interest and follow-up and work to harness all potentials to upgrade all elements of the football system in the Kingdom.
Al Kassim pointed out that one of the pillars of the strategy for the transformation of Saudi football launched by SAFF a few months ago is the development of cadres, and one of the most important elements of this pillar is the national coaches, pointing out that Saudi Arabian Football Federation has witnessed during the recent period a number of achievements that the national coach contributed to achieving, both at the level The national team, which achieved a deserved qualification for the 2022 World Cup, and crowned with the U-23 AFC Asian Cup for the first time in the history of the Olympic team, both achievements were unprecedented results.
Al Kassim stressed that the SAFF is always working to provide all capabilities and energies to serve and support the national coaches in order to continue the achievements.
It is noteworthy that this initiative comes from the Saudi Arabian Football Federation in support of the national coaches' careers in local competitions and national teams.
The technical committee had set 3 criteria for honoring, namely achieving a championship with the national teams or a qualifying position for a continental or international championship, achieving one of the current local or foreign championships, and promotion to a higher division or qualifying for an external championship.
