Ettifaq opens its campaign in the Saudi Reserve League against Al-Tai

Tomorrow, Saturday, Ettifaq team will open its campaign in the first edition of the Saudi Reserve League, when it faces its guest Al-Tai in the third match of the competition approved by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, with the participation of 7 clubs from the professional league.
The first match of the Saudi Reserve League kicked off on September 15, between Al-Tai and Al-Fateh, which saw the latter’s victory 4-1, while the second match was held last Saturday and witnessed Abha’s victory over Al-Fayha 5-1.
Seven clubs are participating in the first edition of the Reserve League: Al-Shabab, Ettifaq, Abha, Al-Fateh, Al-Fayha, Al-Tai and Al-Wahda. .
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation granted the clubs participating in the Reserve League many advantages, most notably obtaining financial support of two million riyals (532,000 dollars), in addition to the league prizes totaling two million and 825,000 riyals (760 thousand dollars), in addition to an increase of the number of players registered in the first team from 30 to 35 players.
The approval of the Saudi Reserve League aims to increase the actual minutes of playing for players, and to help increase the minutes of playing for reserve players in highly competitive matches, and the participation of young players in stronger matches, as well as a gradual return of injured players.
