The Asian Professional Coaches (Pro) training course started with the participation of 24 coaches

The Asian Professional Coaches (Pro) training course, which is being held by the Education Department of the Technical Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, was launched on Tuesday, with the participation of 24 coaches, after the approval of the Asian Football Confederation, in the presence of the member of the Board of Directors of the SAFF, President of the Technical Committee Turki Al-Sultan, Director of Education in the SAFF, the member of the Education Authority of the AFC Dr. Yahya Sherif.

The first phase of the course will continue until October 5, while the second phase will take place from November 21 to December 1, while the third phase will be limited to the lecturers’ visit to the students in their clubs and their work inside the club with the principle of education in the real environment of the coaches during the months of February, March and April 2023, with the fourth phase taking place from May 13-22, 2023, and the fifth phase from August 5-14, 2023.

The current course is lectured by the international lecturer, Mr. John Peacock, who works as a lecturer in the international, European and Asian federations, and has worked as a coach for the youth groups for all English national teams, in addition to the lecturer in the European and Asian Federations, Mr. Steve Rutter, former director of education for the FA, and the lecturer in the European Football Association Mr. Nile Orqin, Director of Education for the Irish Football Federation, is also attending the course, and they all assisted by Saudi lecturers Khaled Al-Farhan, Bandar Al-Ahmadi and Mushabab Ziyad.

The course includes major topics, the most prominent of which are global developments in playing methods and systems, tactical training, fitness training, match analysis, setting the appropriate training program for the training unit on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis, using the latest technologies in training, dealing with sports media, club administrations, professional contracts for coaches, and the relationship between the coach and all employees in the football environment.

For his part, the member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and president of the Technical Committee Turki Al-Sultan thanked and appreciated the National Guard for the facilities they provided to host the first part of the first phase, praising them for their full cooperation for the success of the course, which is a continuation of cooperation between the SAFF and government agencies to serve Saudi football.
