The first Talent Discovery Festival was concluded in Qassim region

Today, Friday, the first Talent Discovery Festival was concluded in Qassim region, as it was held by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation represented by the technical department, and aimed to discover football talents in schools and academies and provide them with opportunities to join sports clubs and regional training centers.

The festival, which was held at the Education Department stadium in Unayzah, witnessed the participation of more than 150 players under the supervision of 20 coaches, as the stadium was divided into 8 squares and the participants were divided into groups, each group participated for 15 minutes to discover the strengths of each player according to specific technical criteria, bringing the total program to 5 hours.

At the end of the festival, the participants were honored with souvenirs, while the talents who passed the tests will be sorted in order to join the regional training center in Qassim in order to increase their talents through professional programs that have been developed in line with the talent development path, which represents one of the pillars of the Saudi football transformation strategy.

The second festival is scheduled to be held in Jazan region on March 16 at the Education Department stadium, to be followed by 14 festivals in: Najran, Hafar Al-Batin, Arar, Abha, Al-Baha, Hail, Taif, Tabuk, Al-Jawf, Dammam, Jeddah, Al-Ahsa, Medina, Riyadh and Unayzah.

It is noteworthy that the technical department of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation set the ages of the participants for students from 6 to 9 years, and the ages of the female students from 9 to 12 years.
