Today, Thursday, the second talent discovery festival was concluded in Jazan, which was held by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation represented by the Technical Committee, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education represented by the Saudi School Sports Federation, with the aim of discovering football talents in schools and providing them the opportunity to join sports clubs and regional training centers.
The festival, which was held on the reserve stadium at King Faisal Sports City in Jazan, witnessed the participation of more than 150 male and female players under the supervision of a number of male and female coaches.
The stadium was divided into 8 squares and the participants were divided into groups, each group participated for 15 minutes, to discover the strengths of each player according to specific technical criteria, so the total duration of the program became 5 hours.
At the end of the festival, the participants were honored with souvenirs, while the talents who passed the tests will be sorted in order to involve them in the regional training center in Jazan in order to increase their talents through professional programs that have been developed in line with the talent development track, which represents one of the pillars of the Saudi Arabian football Federation transformation strategy.
The third festival is scheduled to be held in the Hafar Al-Batin region on May 3, to be followed by 13 festivals in Najran, Arar, Abha, Al-Baha, Hail, Taif, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, Dammam, Jeddah, Al-Ahsa, Medina and Riyadh.
It is noteworthy that the Technical Committee in the Saudi Arabian Football Federation set the ages of the participants for male students from 6 to 9 years, and the ages of female participants from 9 to 12 years.
