
SAFF approves the project to develop youth groups' competitions 2024-2025

The Competitions Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, in cooperation with the Technical Department and the Management of Youth Teams, held a workshop with the clubs via visual communication, to discuss the project to develop youth groups' competitions prepared by the Technical Department of SAFF, and it will be implemented starting from the next sports season 2024-2025.
The project aims to develop youth groups' competitions, as it includes increasing the number of clubs in the under (17) and( 18) First Division Leagues, to become 18 teams each, starting from the 2024-2025 season.
The Premier League and First Division League competitions were also created for the under (16 ) years age group, and the under (15) Premier League teams increased with the introduction of the under (15) First Division League, with the participation of 18 teams in each.
The project adopted the transformation of the Saudi League for the under (13) years old into the regions championships starting from (11) to (14 )years old, and festivals starting from the age of (7) years to (10) years were approved.
The program also includes an update on the number of promoted and relegated clubs in the youth groups leagues for the next season, as well as determining the ages of the players for these tournaments, starting from 2024-2025 season until 2033-2034 season.
