
SAFF launches a football academy for children in Zaatari refugee camp

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation, represented by the Social Responsibility Committee, inaugurated a Football Academy for Children in Zaatari refugee Camp in Jordan, in the presence of SAFF's member and President of the Social Responsibility Committee Nazih Al-Nasr, Assistant Secretary-General for Strategic Affairs Majid Al-Sahib, and members of the committee, with the participation of 60 children from the camp.
This came with the participation of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, and the West Asian Football Federation.
The delegation of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation discussed with organizations specialized in the field of sports in Zaatari refugee camp the possibility of developing football in the camp, establishing a sports league between the camp’s sectors, and qualifying 25 coaches and preparing them to obtain the Class C coaching certificate after passing the previous course presented by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation in May, and obtain a Class D training certificate through Saudi coaches.
For his part, the member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Nazih Al-Nasr, extended his sincere thanks to His Highness the Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, for the great support and continuous follow-up of all the activities of SAFF.
Al-Nasr also thanked the Assistant General Supervisor for Planning and Development Affairs, Dr. Aqeel bin Jumaan Al-Ghamdi, for the great role played by the center.
