
SAFF approves the appointment of Ali Al-Ahmari as a member of the Referees Committee

The Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation approved the appointment of Ali Abdullah Al-Ahmari as a member of the main referees committee.
Al-Ahmari holds a master’s degree in sports management from King Abdulaziz University. He worked as a referee for more than (20) years, in addition to being an evaluator and lecturer for referees. He also served as head of the referees sub-committee in Asir for (6 ) seasons.
The President of the referees committee, Manuel Navarro, also approved the appointment of Spaniard Roberto Diaz as a responsible for the assistant referees.
The Spanish referee has a distinguished CV, as he is considered one of the most prominent assistant referees in Spain and Europe, as he participated in more than (440) matches in La Liga over (25) seasons. He also participated in the (2018) and (2022) World Cups, and Euro (2020).
Diaz participated in more than (70) Champions League matches and (65) European League matches, including the finals of the (2020) and (2021) Champions League editions, and the (2009) and (2022) European League finals.
Diaz holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Wales, and Sports Business Administration from the University of Castilla in Spain.
