King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, the WAFF, and the SAFF sign a joint cooperation agreement

Today, Monday, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, the West Asian Football Federation “WAFF”, and the Saudi Arabian Football Federation “SAFF”, signed a joint cooperation agreement.
The signing ceremony of the agreement was held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, in the presence of assistant supervisor general director at of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, Dr. Aqeel Al-Ghamdi, the Secretary-General of the West Asian Football Federation, Khalil Al-Salem, the President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Yasser Al-Mashal, and employees of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, also held a reception at his home for the delegation of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, and the West Asian Federation.
Assistant General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, Dr. Aqeel Al-Ghamdi, pointed out that the agreement will form a new strategic partnership between the parties, with the aim of continuing to work on the sustainability of social responsibility activities performed by all parties, especially in light of the growing interest in this aspect and the efforts keen to expand its scope significantly in the West Asian region and the continent alike.
Secretary-General of the West Asian Football Federation, Khalil Al-Salem, praised the agreement, stressing that it will contribute to exchanging experiences and benefiting from the real experiences that the SAFF recently implemented within its community humanitarian programs, in addition to investing in the King Salman Center’s great experiences and its pioneering plans in the field of relief.
The President of the SAFF, Yasser Al-Meshal, confirmed that this agreement comes within the Federation’s social responsibility plans, hoping that the agreement will achieve its goals by uniting efforts to achieve more goals to serve the region and national federations.
The agreement includes the implementation of economic and skills empowerment programs, which is one of the main objectives of this agreement, which aims to acquire various skills, self-reliance, and earn a livelihood through training football coaches, discovering young talents, and preparing them for work opportunities in various sports fields.
This agreement comes within the efforts of the WAFF to create partnerships with international and local organizations in the region, and also focuses on implementing sustainable plans to serve local communities, support age groups in football activities, and organize events with humanitarian aspects.
The signing of the agreement also coincided with the West Asian Football Federation Foundation project, which was launched with the aim of providing a safe and healthy environment for all parties involved in the game of football, and achieving the maximum possible social impact of social responsibility initiatives in the region.
Immediately upon signing this agreement, the volunteer humanitarian project will be implemented in the Zaatari camp to train 50 Syrian refugee coaches to obtain the third level football coaching license, and the first sports league will be implemented with the participation of 300 children trained by graduate coaches who will receive their first income as a result of training in this sports competition, which will be held at the Saudi Arabian Football Federation Stadium, located at the headquarters of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in Zaatari camp.
